amaronith asked: Sherlock/John - I’d rather be miserable with you than without you.
Pairing: Sherlock/John

Everyone feels sorry for John, and he hates it.
So he smiles, because it tells them No, really, I’m all right, even if he isn’t at all, because he’s just so sick of being looked at like someone who will crumble to pieces at the slightest infraction.
Ridiculous, that. Anything that could be ruined inside him shattered the moment Sherlock said Goodbye, John. There is nothing left to break.
The funeral was lovely. Lestrade gave a very touching speech.
You would have hated the whole thing.

esendoran asked: how about the moment when molly realizes jim’s a bad deal and proceeds to dump him? is she conflicted? how does she break it to him?
Pairing: Jim/Molly
Notes: Two with one fic, all right! Also, taking cues from Molly’s official blog posts about how their last meeting went.

It’s impossible to get rid of an idea, Sherlock told her once, and it’s true. From the moment Sherlock held that piece of paper in front of her face with Jim’s phone number and she’d fled from the lab, she knew. No matter how hard she tries to shove the idea aside, she now looks at Jim and wonders.

Christmas
Pairing: Sherlock, Molly. A bit of implied Sherlock/John.
Notes: Aww, I love Molly. I always feel so bad for her. Someone give her a hug.

Molly comes home to a silent flat with snow caked on her shoes and her cheeks pink from the cold. The outside smells on her clothes usually draw an inquisitive Toby, but today, there is no greeting for her at the door as she struggles to close her umbrella and get out of her coat, while bags of purchased Christmas gifts hang from her arm.
She says, “I’m home,” because if she doesn’t speak out loud to herself and her cat now and again, this apartment would never hear human voices.
Except someone answers, “Welcome back.”
I still have a few prompts in my ask I’m going to do, but I like having a selection to see what sparks ideas.
For Sherlock, I’m willing to write:
In my ask, give me a short prompt (a couple of words), and, if you want, your preferred pairing. Also, if you have an Archive of Our Own account, state your username so I can gift the fic to you when I post it! You’re welcome to give me as many prompts as you like.
Cheers~

Bakery Fiasco
Pairing: Jim, Sebastian, though not…really slashy.
Notes: Haha, you would think I’d start with a pairing I’m not terrified to write, but there you have it. Sorry for the repost, lovelies! I didn’t realize asks weren’t rebloggable, so I’m reposting.

“Well, someone’s having a bad day.”
The bakery door shuts behind Jim as Sebastian lifts his head. The flour has settled. Jim’s shoes make very clean, distinct prints in it as he moves across the floor, pausing only to nudge a dead man’s arm out of his way. In his pressed suit and hands in his pockets, he’s the only thing in the room that isn’t covered in white powder.
esendoran asked:
can you do mystrade as immovable object/unstoppable force?
Pairing: Mycroft/Lestrade
Notes: I didn’t use the prompt how I wanted to, but this is what came out. Gah. Also, sorry for the repost, lovelies! I didn’t realize asks answers couldn’t be reblogged, so I’m reposting.

When Mycroft says no, it marks the end. End of argument, end of discussion, end of don’t you even think about mentioning it again. He can dish out no but he can’t take it, and Greg is aware of this because he’s tried it.
The first time a black car arrives at one of his crime scenes and he receives a text telling him to get in, Greg takes one look at the phone, at the car, and texts back Piss off. Because he doesn’t take orders from people who won’t even show their faces.

Sherlock/Lestrade. Lemonade.
Pairing: Sherlock/Lestrade
Notes: Pre-series!

Not three minutes after Greg texts Sherlock details for a case, he gets the response:
Can’t. Dying. –SH
It’s enough to give Greg pause, because when Sherlock Holmes says he’s dying, one can’t dismiss it because who knows if he isn’t trying some ridiculous experiment?
This is Momo. She’s tiny, chirpy, skittish, absolutely adorable, has a brother named Bubu… and she has breast cancer. She belongs to my best friend who is going through some bad financial problems (not to mention she’s homebound because of a broken ankle).

Ban Midou + Kazuki Fuuchouin | GetBackers
Song: “A Cross and a Girl Named Blessed” :: Evans Blue
Facts: Ban and Kazuki’s relationship is a tense one. They aren’t friends, but they have a mutual, grudging respect for one another’s abilities. Out of all of Ginji’s friends, Kazuki is probably the one Ban minds the least (put next to people like Shido and Emishi).
At the same time that Kazuki respects Ban’s abilities, he also considers Ban to be dangerous, as he tells Ginji on more than one occasion. Yet Kazuki never displays any fear toward Ban, likely because he’s not afraid of much of anything. (And also tends to be overprotective of Ginji.) And, likely because he’s more concerned about any lasting emotional damage Ban could do to Ginji than physical harm.
Headcanon: Kazuki is easily bored, easily restless, and depressed if not kept busy and distracted at all times. He’s highly intelligent, and Ban is one of the few characters in the series whose intellect matches his. Kazuki is fascinated by Ban, like he’s been given a puzzle he can’t quite figure out.
While outwardly Ban is loud, obnoxious, and impossible to deal with, Kazuki is the polar opposite. He’s well-mannered and kind, soft-spoken and helpful. Under the surface, though, they’re far more similar than they let on. Sharp-minded, dangerous, often bloodthirsty (something people pick up on with Ban, but usually goes unnoticed with Kazuki who is better at masking it), and fiercely loyal and protective over what they consider theirs.
But even when put together in a relationship, both of them understand they each have priorities. For Ban, his top priority is Ginji. For Kazuki, it’s Juubei, Toshiki, and Sakura. It’s an unspoken mutual respect of one another’s Important People, something not many others would be able to understand.
I’ve been a huge fan of this pairing for years. Given the fandom was/is rather small, I was one of maybe two writers who ever did anything for it. I loved their canon interactions—Ban always needling at Kazuki and Kazuki (usually) taking it so calmly and gracefully. Their relationship is a tense one with the occasional softer moment, but once they get settled, they’re good for one another. This makes the list of one of my top favorite pairings of all time.

[when you try your best but you don’t succeed | when you get what you want but not what you need | when you feel so tired but you can’t sleep]
Sherlock Holmes + John Watson | Sherlock
Song: ”Fix You” :: Coldplay
Facts: Geez, where does one even start? These two are drawn to each other. Sherlock has John all figured out, seems to know exactly what he needs where no one else does. He realizes John loves the thrill of the cases Sherlock works as much as Sherlock does. As Sherlock says, “You weren’t traumatized by the war. You miss it.”
Even over the course of a few episodes, it becomes so painfully clear how much these two mean to each other. Sherlock makes John feel alive, and John makes Sherlock feel human, helps him slowly gain at least a little empathy. …Even if that empathy is only directed at John.
Even as only a friendship, this is the sort of friendship that surpasses any and all other relationships either of these two might have. John puts up with random body parts in the fridge, Sherlock’s lack of thought or care to the feelings of others, and his tendancy to go for days on end without eating or sleeping, which John tries to keep up with. Sherlock, meanwhile, seems to subtly seek John’s approval. When John is displeased, Sherlock looks perplexed and points out, “I’ve disappointed you.” Which breaks my heart every. Single. Time.
These two canonly are mistaken as a pair. Even when confronting Irene Addler, John insists “We aren’t a couple,” and Irene looks vaguely amused and says, “Yes you are.” Like she knows something John doesn’t.
Headcanon: It doesn’t matter if they never sleep together. It doesn’t matter if they never say ‘I love you’ or the things most couples/pairings do. Because in the end, Sherlock and John are to each other what no one else could possibly be.
In my headcanon, following the events of the second season, John is pretty much a wreck. He tries to function because it’s what is expected of him, but he doesn’t sleep well. The pain returns in his leg. His hands get that tremor again. He carries around one of Sherlock’s scarves in his jacket pocket like some sort of security blanket, and he’s never returned to the flat on Baker Street because it’s too hard.
Even in his grief, there’s a small part of him that never entirely believes Sherlock can be dead. His therapist calls it denial. John calls it hope.
When Sherlock finally returns will be when John fully grasps what it is he’s almost lost. I think they’ll be closer because of it. As I said above—the ‘I love you’s and romance of most couples doesn’t matter, because these two are so much more than that.
Note: In the last season, Sherlock’s “death,” I fully believe Sherlock had the whole thing worked out, because that’s what Sherlock does. However, I believe as he’s talking to John on the phone from the rooftop and he’s crying, just a little, and he reaches out toward John. (see gif) I think that part, the emotion of it, was real. (Why fake it when John was too far away to see?) He may have been convinced that this was the last time he’d talk to John if he was going to keep him safe.
